Snow & Sea Turtles

I spoke with Amy & David earlier this morning. They told me that about an inch of snow fell in the village overnight...but as is so typical, there is only patchy snow on the ground, and since the temperature is above freezing it won't last long.

I also learned that 13 distressed loggerhead turtles were found on the beach Thursday. Apparently the cold water (temperatures in the low 40s) contributed to gastrointestinal problems. The turtles were transferred to facilities and veterinarians to nurse them back to health. You can read more here: http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/georgia-aquarium-rescues-loggerhead-301059.html

My dad said that they found something like 84 dead turtles on the beach on Portsmouth last week.
